‘Even bubble-tennis lessons have been cancelled,’ said Coral with a sniff. ‘First all this terrible weather made it too hard to play. Now Coach Dorsal is worried our uniforms will all turn grey, and no one will be able to tell which team we’re on.’

She leant lower over her desk and went over her formula again, trying extra hard to focus. ‘Scales from a grumpy mimic fish to reflect surroundings, silk sand for texture, rainbow coral for perfect colour-matching … but what’s missing?’
